16 HAND 8 YEAR OLD SORREL GELDING - JET for sale in California

Jet is a 16 hand 8 year old sorrel gelding. He takes his leads, has a great stop, backs with ease and will side pass over to open and close the gates. He collects up nice and has smooth gaits. He is super on the trails and really knows how to get around in the tough country. He will lead or follow, ride in the middle of the group and picks his way thru the river rocks, crosses the water with no hesitation and goes straight up or straight down anything I ask with confidence and ease. Over bridges, over the logs and will bush whack his own trail. He gets along well with the other horses in the pasture and is easy to catch. The charging barking dogs, cars that whiz by and all the stuff we have encountered in the neighborhood like lawn equipment, , flapping tarps and such have been no bother to him. He was ridden by an 80 year old man who did ranch work on him including pasture roping, doctoring and sorting. Hops right in the trailer and is good for the farrier. He can be a little lazy but will pick it up when asked. This is currently the horse I ride when we head out for fun. I can’t say enough good about him. Super nice horse.
