Dallas is a very eye-catching and well built gelding. He is a gray overo paint with very pretty markings; however, they are only really noticeable when he is wet due to his very light coloring. He also does have one very pretty blue eye and one brown eye. Dallas has a very calm and laid-back personality. He is very motivated to please and is very willing to learn. He has a nice walk, very floaty and pretty trot, and a super smooth canter. Although, he is very sensitive to hand and leg pressure and is not recommended for a beginner. However, with some more time, training, and miles put on him he would make a great kids/beginner horse. He is believed to be partially deaf, but I ride him with almost entirely just voice ques and he does amazing for me, so it definitely does not bother him at all if he is. He is a super sweet horse and has never offered to do anything bad or mean. Dallas has not had professional training to take him in one direction or another, but he would excel at many things. He has the speed, when asked, to make a great contesting horse, but he would also do well on trails or in ranch and/or halter classes. When put in new situations Dallas can get a little confused and nervous if he doesn’t understand what you are asking of him, but with a little time and reassurance he is good to go in no time. Dallas is a super easy keeper and gets along with anybody. You can feed him hay and grain or just hay and he will maintain a healthy weight. In the pasture he is usually in the middle or top hierarchy, but gets along with everyone and usually stays off on his own. He has never been lame or had any health issues. He does well when tied, for baths, trailering, the farrier, ect. He is also always the same horse after letting him sit for a while. Dallas does not have papers, but I do believe it is possible to get them if DNA tests are performed. He is located in Danville, IN.
