What is a Percheron Horse?
The Percheron is a draft horse originating from the Perche region in France. It is known for its strength and sturdy build, with most horses standing between 15 to 17 hands high and weighing up to 1,800 pounds. As a result of this strength, they are used for various heavy-duty tasks such as farming and logging, but they can also be ridden or harnessed for light work like show competition or pleasure riding.
