“Chick” is as broke as they come! True ranch horse from Montana. Rides one handed anywhere in any bit you want! I’ve also ridden her bridleless. She works cattle and horses, has been used as a rodeo pickup horse, for ponying colts, roping, and even foxhunting! Not a spectacular jumper, but she’s pretty earthbound in her build!

Roping: ropes calves and will stand and hold them all day while you doctor. She’s been used to rope adult cattle including bulls as well. She has not roped out of a box, but would be very easy to get going that route.

Foxhunting: Chick has hunted all flights with Deep Run and Keswick hunt clubs. She will lead a field, hunt in the field or whip in. She’s not a great jumper.. I wouldn’t recommend jumping huge coops. She has plenty of stamina and will happily gallop for 4 hours on a crazy hunt, or walk on a slow day.

Ring: she goes wtc, picks up leads, does flying lead changes, sliding stops, has a decent turnaround and a nice rollback. She will leg yield, shoulder in, half pass etc and will collect and extend her gaits.

Ground: she has a ton of natural horsemanship training and will do just about anything you can think of on the ground. She also ties, loads, clips, bathes, stands for farrier, etc.

Chick has a gas pedal AND excellent brakes. Due to having a lot of buttons, she would not be suitable for a total beginner. She is tough and gritty and will ride ANYWHERE you point her.. so don’t point her at something you don’t want to ride through! She is incredibly smart and incredibly sturdy!

Don’t let her size fool you! She’s 15H and about 1400# fit. Plenty of bone, plenty of foot, and a can do attitude! She’s fine if you don’t ride her for a while. This is a horse that LOVES a job. Meets you at the gate even if you ring your saddle and bridle and will work ALL DAY if you want.

I bought her for me. I am selling her as I just don’t need her and am busy starting my 2/3yr olds so she is mostly just sitting. No health issues, no maintenance, just wears shoes.. but may be fine without. I gallop her down the roads sometimes so keep her shod!

She also had one foal. I’m happy to sell her in foal to my pinto draft x as well if someone wants her plus a coming BIG rope horse! She is a buckskin dun. Her last foal was her color off of a bay stud.
