I am proud to introduce you to “Bear”. This is a gelding the entire family can enjoy. Bear is 5 years old and stands a stout 16.1hh making him the perfect size for both kids and adult riders alike. Bear is a Percheron Quarter horse cross. He’s a stunning bright bay with an adorable star on his face. He is the confidence building, babysitter type. This boy has beautiful, stout, and shapey conformation. He has solid bone structure and great hooves! Bear lives up to his name as he is extremely cuddly, and has the appearance of an oversized teddy bear. He walk, trot, and canters with ease. He knows his leads and will pick up the canter from the halt and his breaks are good as well. He is like riding a couch as he’s one of the smoothest horses you will sit on. Bear is a FUN LOVING GUY! We have found he loves to take his people sledding and loves a good hack in the snow, or grassy fields. He won’t complain if it’s hot or cold outside. He’s game to make the most of some winter activities on a snowy day or head out to the river on the hot summer days! Bear also has extensive miles on the trails. Woods, water, cracking brush, traffic, wildlife, bikes ect he couldn’t care less. He’s a drop the reins enjoy the scenery kinda guy. He has also been started on basic dressage work and knows most lateral movements. He is soft thru the poll and listens well to seat and leg pressure. Bear also loves to jump. Over fences he holds a steady canter and helps his rider find a distance. Overall he’s more whoa than go. He is also extremely well broke to drive. He has been on our Visa Via in the city giving rides, has worked in a team pulling a wagon giving rides in parades, and has also been used on farm equipment. He’s the type to teach you the ropes of driving or one to pair the younger horses with. He’s a true family horse, kids, hubbys, neighbors that can’t ride but know you have horses this is the one. He has been doubling in our beginner lesson program and has proven to be steady going and dependable!
