Lucky Boy Farms has been breeding Grulla horses for seventeen years. We specialize in optimum pedigrees, with emphasis on cutting and reining then breed for great conformation, good bone and exceptional color. We like a horse with good width and great muscle.

We are the home of Watts Doc Breeze, a homozygous black homozygous dun grulla stallion that always throws grulla and dark dun foals. He gene tests D/D and E/E. We have a color guarantee on this stallion as he always throws grulla or dun color. He stands 15 hands tall and is around 1300 lbs. He has a great build and consistently throws it on his colts. He has a wide set chest and exceptional hip. He has great athletic ability. His sire was not shown in competition, but his sire's full brother was IBHA Reserve World Champion in reining. His sire comes from a long line of World Champions and World Champion producers. His dam is by an NCHA money earner and NCHA producer that was by Doc Zimfandel. Doc Zimfandel was a World Champion in cutting and a multiple World Champion producer by the great Doc Bar. Watts Doc Breeze is 84% foundation and has all the black points of the dun gene that includes zebra striping on the legs and dark shoulder patches. He puts these great leg markings on his colts.

The 2018 foals are growing great and all are weane - August 7, 2018 - We have 11 2018 foals for sale now. We have four fillies and seven stud colts. We have both double homozygous grulla fillies and stallion prospects available. We also have several grandsons and granddaughters of High Brow Cat available. 2018 foals are weaned, halter broke, wormed and trimmed the first time. They are doing great and ready for their new homes.
