He is the first foal from this cross we have offered for sale, with his 2 year old full brother also on farm.
Harrier currently stands 15h at 10m old and his full brother is 16.1h at 22 months old.
He is well handled, up to date on all veterinary care, leads, picks up feet and stands fairly well for trimming. Good with dogs, equipment, lives out in a mixed herd and stalls daily for food.
Bred to be a fox-hunter, both parents have a natural jump, excellent temperament and are highly trainable and willing.
Sired by Life of a Tiger, a 16.1h Thoroughbred stallion who retired sound from an 11 year racing career, and out of a young foxhunting Iberian Performance Horse 16.3h mare, Flying Fortress.
His dam, Flying Fortress, has had 2 foals for us, fox hunts with Genesee Valley Hunt, trail rides, hunter paces, competed in an Intro level event this summer, and will have her first full year as a non-broodmare under saddle this year.
Her sire, Llop Monaco, is a foxhunting stallion and family horse, as well as dabbling in eventing, jumpers, endurance, and 2nd level dressage.
Harrier is an excellent prospect for anyone wanting to raise their own amateur friendly sport horse. He should excel in eventing, foxhunting, jumping or dressage with a lovely up hill ground covering movement. While athletic and talented, his friendly disposition will make him a beloved family horse and trail companion prospect as well!
