“Blue Jeans”, as we affectionately call him, is a 10-year-old blue roan gelding that stands 12.3 hh. This will be the FANCIEST guy on the block with his four-knee high white socks and adorable black head. Blue Jeans gets noticed everywhere he goes not only for his looks, but as well as his quiet demeanor. This guy has been used extensively for all ranch chores and worked at the cattle sale barn for quite some time. He is automatic at side passing up to gates and will get right up on a cow. Not only can you use him for your ranch chores, but one can take him to the arena or trails and have great success! This guy rides fancy in the arena with his low head, easy neck rein, and great lead departures. Blue Jeans is absolutely not spooky and will be a great asset to any trail riders’ line-up. Blue Jeans has extensive trail riding experience from going up and down steep hills with ease, through mud, ditches and deep water, over logs and through brush. Blue Jeans is surefooted on rough, rocky terrain and has seen and ridden all of it! He will ride out alone or with a group, in the front or in the back. Blue Jeans is very used to dogs running around him, skid loaders driving by, and even kangaroos & zebras! With Blue Jean’s training, experience, mindset, and looks-this pony is one of a kind. Not only is this pony special in his personal characteristics, but even more special in how he is going to help young Ky Lynott. 50% of what Blue Jeans sells for will be graciously given to Kade, Shayna, and Ky Lynott in hopes of offsetting their medical bills. Ky Lynott a 14-month-old boy from Inwood, IA has been diagnosed with ATRT cancer. This is a rare and aggressive brain cancer that is most common in young children and infants. This is a young family who were supposed to just be starting out their lives as Kade and Shayna graduate from college. Their lives have been turned completely upside-down and they could use all the help and prayers possible.

On Monday, January 22 the family noticed Ky was losing his balance and seemed to be in pain. After a couple different doctor visits, they decided to head to the ER on Wednesday, the 24th for another opinion. The doctors did a CAT scan and the news was not what they were hoping for, as they found a mass on his brain stem that was creating pressure and blocking spinal fluid causing his poor balance. That evening he was admitted to the PICU at Sanford in Sioux Falls. He had a very successful surgery on Monday the 29th to remove the mass. Ky is now at the Childrens Hospital of Colorado in Aurora where he will be receiving chemo and radiation treatments. With his EVD still in and with the treatments starting, he will most likely continue to be in the hospital for another few weeks. In the meantime, Kade & Shayna are looking at apartments to rent across from the hospital as it looks like they will be staying there for quite some time.
