Born & bred in the great state of Iowa, this classic made gelding is a PICTURE of structure, bone, and shape- all wrapped up into the perfect STUNNING shade of a silk gold buckskin!

Packed with an absolutely UNMATCHED temperment, “Brute” as we call him, is one of the kindest souls I've ever come into contact with. His personality comes right out of the movie The Green Mile, with the gentle kind nature of John Coffey.

This is the horse you can walk out to at the end of a long day, and he will come up to you and place his head right into your hands. He is the epitome of a steadfast, gentle, & lovable teddy bear. A horse you can pause on. A horse you can rely on.

Brute is your steady eddy, comfortable character.

He is seasoned, and had extensive experience being used on the ranch, & has been hauled all over kingdom come. Load this big animal up, cinch him up, and trot him off the trailer in confidence knowing Brutus has your back- never thinking past the task at hand. If you call on him, he will be there, and if you don’t- he is perfectly content to turn right off & ride down for the littlest of cowboys too! We have ridden him everywhere from Lake Texoma to the deserts of Arizona. He’s been hauled to jackpots and will stand tied like a soldier- or ride into the thick of a crowded, chaotic, warm up pen just the same as he would out in the pasture. He is cowy enough to confidently sort and doctor on, and when I tell you this big buckskin beauty will pull a house down if you ask him to- he sure will! He has carried flags, is traffic safe, and will go over the river and through the woods!

Brute is incredibly easy to operate & is SMOOTH.

He does not feel like a clunky big horse, but is steady & confident underneath you!

Brutus can lope off from a walk, is very well leaded, and has the pokiest and quiet slow trot. You can pack your wine glass and hit the trails on this guy- or cover some country with a big extended trot. Don’t be misled as this gelding is also BROKE as they come. He can pack his head around like a reiner, sidepass, yield his shoulders, hips, has a good stop, turn, and backup. What I equally value about this gelding is his ability to ride down for the little ones. You can recklessly steer across his neck and he will purely honor what an inexperienced rider asks. You don’t have to push the perfect button, or set him up just right for him to be the best horse for you.

Brute is a 15.2 hand, well made, SOUND gelding. He has big black feet, no scars or blemishes.

Stands tied, loads, hauls, is an easy keeper (though he will eat as much as an NFL player). He is great with time off, or consitent riding. We’ve kept him up in a stall, or out in the pasture with no issues. He is actually a great pasture pal with other geldings- doesn’t get bullied or cause trouble. Brute is just a good ol boy.
