” Choice Cut Power,” aka Rip, is a beautiful 4-year-old registered racking horse gelding at 15.3h. Rip is a smooth ride with a great temperament. He has been shown, won one World Championship in Flat Shod Pleasure, and was the High Point horse for two years. Rip started his riding career on trail and has been ridden and has been trail ridden all over the National Forest trails on rough country, he’s very sure footed and calm natured. We purchased Rip as a yearling, did extensive groundwork, and started lightly riding in the middle of his second year. Our training goal was to produce a confident, quite sensible, and fun-to-ride horse, and he has lived up to every expectation we have. Our training method is a gentle start, we only ride our horses to their physical ability to ensure they are sound and healthy when older, Rip was successfully started by a 13-year-old using natural horsemanship methods and shown successfully by the same youth rider. Rips extensive groundwork has made him easy to manage on the ground, he stands quietly for the farrier, he clips, crossties, highlines and loads easily, he is well-mannered in a group. Rip’s flashy looks and calm demeanor have always drawn attention wherever he goes. He is an excellent field trial prospect; he has grown up working dogs, and we have lead dogs off his back.
