Oakley is an absolute angel from on the ground to in the saddle. Her demeanor is precious and priceless. She is the ideal balance of kind and friendly, and is not pushy or rude about your space so children handling her alone is not an issue. She is suitable for any age or ability level of child from the littlest and most inexperienced just leadlining on up to a more experienced child that feels comfortable asking for a trot and lope. She is an all around pony that has seen and done a little bit of everything. The type that is a jack of all trades. She has been ridden on the ranch by our daughter with us when we’ve gone to gather or check sets of cattle and does great out in the open as well as in the arena. She’s also a great trail horse. Her time with us on the ranch has allowed her to see plenty and be exposed to all kinds of scenarios like crossing water, cattle or deer popping out of the brush, picking her way through boggy ground, etc. She is not spooky or silly. Oakley is not a finished “fast” barrel and pole pony, but our daughter has played with her on the barrels and poles and she allows you to cruise through the patterns at the speed of your choice and would be a great playday pony for a kid to build confidence on. Oakley is the pony that every parent seeks. A pony that is attractive and built right with a great demeanor and has the handle and ability to take care of your child, but also help your child grow. She is without a doubt one your children will love, cherish and make memories with for years.
