Ranger is a gorgeous, dark sorrel gelding. He stands about 15.1 hands. Ranger has a long, pretty mane and stands well for all bathing and grooming needs. He clips, loads, stands tied, and is great for all vet/farrier work. Ranger is a no nonsense guy, he never wants trouble. He's a beautiful mover, and is an excellent ranch riding prospect. He is soft faced and very easy to ride. Ranger fits almost any level of rider, he is quiet but still does all the fancy things. He's an NRHA Money earner of $1,606.43 and can still be shown in the reining pen.

In the arena and show pen, he runs beautiful, large, fast circles with his head on the ground. And he comes back to a small slow lope with ease. He has a solid set of spins with a lot of power. Ranger is easy to run and stop, he is an effortless horse to do all reining maneuvers on. In addition to that, he rides English or Western, and is OUTSTANDING at the long trot. He is going to do big things for somebody in the Ranch Riding, Versatility, or any similar events that are so incredibly popular right now. He is ready to go win more money with his next rider.

Ranger has been trail ridden as well - he doesn’t spook, even if others do. He can ride out alone or in a group. He has seen cattle, had a rope tossed off of him, done all ranch work chores and honestly never seems to mind much. He takes everything in stride and is fun to ride and own, because of that, we wish we could keep him around here. Ranger is UTD on all annual veterinary cares and has a clean bill of health. He is TOTALLY sound and built to last...If you look at his legs you will understand why he's one that will last forever. Lots of bone, lots of foot - he is stout and rock solid in all aspects and will not quit you.

Ranger is the same every day and he doesn't require frequent riding to stay solid. (Thats one of the BEST things about him!) He is the same no matter if he's ridden once a year or once a day. We all like riding him because he is so easy to be around and he has incredible gaits. Even though he is a talented horse with a lot of ability, he is content to just pack around all levels of riders and will not anticipate or try to outsmart anybody. If you want to ask for it, its there, but he will never do more than what his rider is asking of him. He is a such a good boy.

Its hard to find ones that are talented and athletic, but also completely bombproof and as laid back as Ranger. We have enjoyed having him here and look forward to seeing how happy he makes his next partner.
