Meet “Traveler”

Registered name: Silver Smokin Cutter

Stunning AQHA grey gelding. He is the perfect age and height; 7 years old and stands at 15 hands. Traveler is an absolute sweetheart! He’s one of those curious and sweet “In your pocket” geldings, who is hoping you’ll give him some attention!

He wants to be your best friend, and he loves being groomed and pampered. He has excellent ground manners; easy to catch, bathe, good for the farrier, stands patiently. Stall or turnout, you won’t have any trouble.

Traveler is really fun ride. He has a lovely slow/short lope, is soft in the face, has a comfortable walk, and a nice smooth trot. He will also collect and carry himself beautifully if you ask him. He is a gorgeous mover! Traveler will neck rein or direct. Has a good responsive stop, and reverse, responds to legs well too.

This gelding has the athleticism to go any direction, and make a fantastic partner for life- no matter your discipline. I think he would make an amazing fox hunting mount, barrel horse, hunter jumper or someone’s go-to roping or ranch horse- he has SO much to offer.

Traveler went to the annual Christmas Parade here in town where he encountered lots of things that would absolutely terrify most horses. Loud sirens blaring, flashing lights on top of emergency vehicles, police cars and fire trucks, Christmas music blasting, marching bands and even the Grinch! He never once batted an eye, and he ate up the attention when the kids who don’t get to see horses up close, swarmed him to pet his nose.

Out on the trails, Traveler is fearless. We have yet to point him somewhere he will not go. This handsome grey will ride to the ends of the earth with you and never think twice about it. He has been ridden on some of the roughest, toughest terrain I’ve ever encountered, and he makes it look so easy. Slippery rocks, steep inclines, brush, big banks, mud, etc- He’s as steady and sure footed as a mountain goat, and I trust this horse completely to get me through the toughest trails safely. He would be a fantastic trail guide horse or can blaze trails through the back country no problem. If you are looking for a super reliable trail mount, you’ve come to the right place.

Traveler has had experience working cows, from pasture roping and doctoring calves, dragging to the branding fire, to steer stopping in the arena. He’s used to all the commotion of busy farm/ranch life- and nothing bothers him. Overnight horse camping trips, to hunter paces- Traveler has seen a lot in his seven years of life.

He trailers and hauls well. He is completely sound and sells 100% in every way.

The possibilities are endless with a nice young gelding like this, and Traveler is more than willing and ready to go.
