Stands 14.3hh weighs 900lb - 1,000lb.

Velvet is one of the sweetest mares you will ever come across. She will be the one at the gate nickering at you every time. She is the kind you can let her sit for 6 months then swing on her bareback and walk off in a halter. She will ride with a group or by herself. She has a long ground covering stride. She is great with tarps and obstacles. She will cross creeks and ditches. You can check the mail on her, open the trash can, ride down the roads, flexes both ways, picks up her leads, and hobbles easily. She is sure footed and careful in sketchy terrain. She has been taken out to check fence and move cattle in big open pastures. I do recommend her for at least a confident intermediate rider.

She stands tied for baths and trailers very well and will back off the trailer with ease. New places don’t bother her much. Shoes are optional, but she currently has a full set. She is young enough if you wanted to try her in a specific discipline that she would just need refinement for that discipline. Or if you just want a nice quiet horse to trail ride on or check pastures, she would be great for you.
