Whiskey!!! The coolest draft cross gelding around that you do not want to miss out on! This once in a lifetime gelding stands 15.3 hands tall and is 4 years old. Don’t let his age fool you, he’s as laid back and calm as any horse I’ve ever been around. With his pretty red dun color and puppy dog attitude, Whiskey is sure to be a barn favorite anywhere he goes, just like he is right now in our barn! He has been my main mount for quite a while now, and as much as I hate to see him go I’d love nothing more than to give someone else the opportunity to call such an amazing horse their own! This horse knows what a solid day’s work is, and has been to town and seen the sights and sounds. I have used him at the stockyard penning cattle and around the pastures checking cattle, fence, and doctoring yearlings. Whiskey will rope and hold anything you can get your loop on. He’s had a great start heading in the roping arena and has spent countless hours being used around the ranch! Whether it’s chasing cattle and roping, or just trail riding with a timid beginner he is a happy and honest horse. He has no tricks and a “trying to please” kind of attitude. Whiskey can be as athletic as you ask him to be or loves to be the babysitter you can drop the reins and not worry about. He is the first one to the gate and easy to catch anywhere. He rides out alone or with a group. Not buddy or barn sour. Anyone who can sit in the saddle can ride him and he will be the same horse every time you ride him. No matter how long he sits up he will be gentle and will walk right off like he’s been ridden every day! He will be 100% sound and sane in every way. No crib or weave. Great with the farrier and comes with 4 brand new shoes but rides fine barefooted if you choose to do so. Has a fresh utd Coggins and a vet health check that he passed with flying colors!
