Bruno is a grade 5 year old Brabant Quarter Horse cross gelding. He is a GORGEOUS true red roan with a mane for days! He stands 15.3hh and easily weighs 1500 pounds. Bruno has been barefoot his entire life and I have done all his trimming. He stands quietly for me to meticulously manicure each foot and really does just enjoy being in your presence.

If you are in search of a more advanced horse to further your riding abilities and have outgrown the beginner or babysitter type horses, Bruno may be a good fit for you. While he is a gentle giant, we DO recommend him for at least a knowledgeable intermediate rider. He isn’t quite ready to pack the kiddos and beginners just yet as he can still be a bit young-minded if he’s had a substantial amount of time off. He is NOT malicious or ill-mannered in the least, just hasn’t earned the coveted “safe for absolutely anyone” badge yet.

We bought Bruno as a weanling and have been nothing but impressed with him since day one of having him home! He is the type to lope away from the group on pasture just to come see what you’re doing. He’s the most personable gelding you’ve ever seen and truly is a joy to have around the barn!

Bruno has drug hundreds of calves in the branding pen, roped and doctored sick cows and calves on pasture, gathered pairs on grass, penned cattle at the feed yard, and ridden many a trails. He will ride out alone or in a group, rain, sun, snow, and wind. He is dependable and still very much moldable into a horse of your taste.

If you’re looking for a step-up horse from your old faithful, Bruno is definitely your guy. If you’ve graduated from the kids or beginner type horse and you’re ready for a gelding that will further your riding skills, Bruno might be the fit for you! He is soft and supple in the bridle, has a good ground covering walk that you can speed up or slow down, his trot is cute and tidy, and his lope is to die for. He has a HUGE stop for how big he is and is as athletic as a 14-hand cutter to boot.
