Burberry

This little spitfire is affectionately known as “Burberry”. She is a 5-year-old, true blue roan, standing exactly 12 hands tall, weighing 650 pounds, and stout enough to pack mom around as well! She is kindhearted and really eager to please. Burberry is one of the fanciest quarter ponies we have had the pleasure of owning. She rides around like a big horse and is happy to get out and see the sights. She leads, loads, ties, trims, stands quietly, and rides like an absolute doll.

Burberry would be the perfect step-up pony for a little rider looking to take the reins on their own and gain a little independence. She likes to get out and cover some country, so we feel she would be ideal as a next step pony for a kid who has been through the old pokey horse, and is ready to walk trot and lope on their own without having to kick, kick, kick all day just to catch a trot.

If you are in search of a smaller horse to step your little one up to, Burberry is your gal! Stick your kiddo on her and go about your day knowing she will take care of them. She’d be the perfect pony to haul along to your barrel race or roping, turn them loose, and know you won’t have to worry about babysitting the two of them.

Nothing turns her into a back pocket pet like a little nibble of grain or her favorite apple treat. She is truly a gal who is won over through her stomach! She is all about her feed and treats! Burberry was primarily ridden by a young girl who put a fantastic start on her prior to us bringing her home. She took her to cowhorse clinics and rode her all over at various different events.

Burberry is also green broke to pull a cart and would make the perfect dual purpose pony if you are after one who rides AND drives. She’s been driven inside and out and shows real promise to being that go to ride or drive pony for many to enjoy!

We have ridden her on the trails at the ranch, moved cows with her, ridden her through town to see the lights and sounds, and brought her along to some play day events to let her experience all that life has to offer! She will ride bareback in a halter just as nice as she does in her bridle and saddle.
