Flame is an 11 year old, 14.1 hand, 1,000lb AQHA gelding. He is a stunning dark golden color yellow in the summer with a thick long white tail that drags the ground. I have had the privilege of having Flame around my barn for 3 years (2017-2020) He was trained by a very talented student (15 year old girl) of mine under my direction. During this time he was used for almost everything. Sorting cattle, barrel/poles, breakaway, swimming, trail riding, riding double, riding bareback and he was hauled to numerous horse shows. He could literally do it all. The past 4 years Flame has continued his training in reining and ranch shows. He has spent many miles in big group trail rides packing saddle bags and standing on a tie line. He's also been to several sortings, team pennings, Kentucky Cowboy Games, and cattle drives over the years. Flame has a great one hand neck rein. He has all the buttons, but very user friendly. Flame will side pass over logs, back through cones and open gates. He will move off leg pressure and give softly to the bit laterally and vertically. When it comes to trail riding Flame is honest and safe. He has seen tons of wildlife, traffic, dogs, whips and tarps, which none seem to phase him. He has a big walk and will cover some ground. He enjoys taking the lead, but will ride anywhere in the group. He will even ride away from the barn with no funny business. If you like riding alone Flame is great for that too. DEPENDABLE! Flame is currently shod all the way around, but has nice hard feet and would be a great candidate to go barefoot. He stands great for baths, the farrier, tacking/untacking and mounting. He's lived in a pasture most of his life & gets along with other horses. He is easy to catch & loads in and out of the trailer with ease. Flame is the same horse whether he is ridden once every 6 months, once a year or daily. Flame makes mounting simple. He will side pass over to a log, mounting block, or picknick table with just a snap of your fingers. He will also drop his head low to make bridleing easy. The options are endless with Flame.
